Itsza Wedding

October 20 was the big wedding day.  But, lots of activity at the Redmond condo in Brighton preceeded the big day.  Pics that follow tell part of the story.

Some final adjustments to the wedding dress had to be made by Mom Rose.

One of Erin's many home made decorations for the wedding.  These are the straw stars that hung over the canoe beer bar.

Erin hand cut every one of the programs.
A little shoe repair was in the picture.

The big yarn balls at the wedding started out this way in our basement.  Glue everywhere after it dried!

"Yup, I'm still sewing these placemats!"

The CD's for the hanging decoration over the wedding party started out with the several hundred in a box and each one had to be individually threaded.

The glue bound hands after each wrapping session of the yarn balls.  They did have fun peeling the glue.

Bob's project was to use the various platters and candle sticks to make a unique serving platform for the cake balls.

Another project for Bob was placing bells on wood skewers then tying with ribbon for the "kiss bells."

Maria was a big help, too, with the placemats.

Mike's brother Chris did a great job on the canoe beer bar cradle.

Some more of the serving platters.

Custom made dress up items for the photo booth.

Dueling sewing machines.  The task caused Rose's machine to break so we had to buy a new one.

More yarn balls hanging in the basement.

The start of the ceiling decorations.

Mike's brother Chris and their Mom, Jan, making the photo booth.

Lunch time at the Piquette plant.

Hanging the CD's on the frame was a multi-person job.

"Look at the CD's hanging!"

Some of the Houghten clan at the Garden Bowl in downtown Detroit after the rehearsal.

It's the morning of the wedding and we gotta get the chairs set up!

Things came together.

The girls getting make up and hair styling.

Everybody pitched in for the 'do's.

"What do you mean you lost your phone?  Whose phone are you using?"

A little chillin' time before the wedding.
