Harley-Davidson Trip South...Abbreviated

The short version...started June 9 for a two-week trip. Drove through Scottville, Saugatuk, South Bend, Mammoth Cave KY, Atlanta, Lexington SC and then home. One week and 2368 miles completed. Another 1000 miles intended to be in two weeks with trip along Blue Ridge Parkway, Gettysburg, York PA Harley Davidson plant, north rim of PA on to Kelly's Island in Lake Erie before heading home. Turned back home in Lexington, SC after Rose became very, very ill. Now the job is to take care of her and get this illness figured out. Another day for the rest of the trip lies ahead.
Some trip highlights:
Morning of June 9 leaving

First photo of the ABC's of Touring. Will try to every letter of the alphabet this summer.

South Bend, IN College Football Hall of Fame

Took a detour to the Maker's Mark bourbon distillery near Loretto, KY. Beautiful place and very nice ride on back roads to get there. In front of the two final distilling tanks of Maker's Mark

Mammoth Cave, KY. This is a small channel in the 2-hour Historic Tour. Very small area to funnel people through and very cool...literally!

Mike at Bowling Green, KY Harley Davison dealer fixing my bike. Very nice guy. Long story about getting the bike in that I'll fill in later.

Jennie and David Olshaske in their new condo in Atlanta. Very nice place with a great location and very happy for Jennie and David. Took them out for a nice dinner at the same place they had their wedding rehearsal dinner.

Jennie the morning after. She does not have Dad Coakley's genes!!!!
