Basket Class, Star Trek Baby, and Colorado Help

You wouldn't know it by the expression on her face but Rose really does enjoy making baskets! A new one of five she made is in the begining stages here.

Three of the five baskets that she made. The one on the left is for daughter Erin and the middle on is grandson Mike's Easter basket. They need to be stained yet and Mike's basket painted with appropriate Easter decorations.

Spencer Losinski and great-aunt Rose. OK, Star Trek fans, can't you see Spencer doing the Vulcan sign of "Live long and prosper?" He just doesn't quite have it down yet at a week old.

Dale and Laurie in relaxation mode after painting a house, repairing things, taking shed contents to the dump and then tearing the shed down. They deserve a break!

Rose is on a basket-making tear since she was released from the therapy classes. Well, ok, she was not in therapy but she does enjoy making the baskets. The most recent bunch of baskets were prompted when daughter Erin in San Diego said she would like a basket for her new bicycle.

Rose and Bob spent part of the third week of September in Sturgis visiting Bob's mother and helping out Bob's Aunt Donna around her house. Donna's daughter Laurie, and her husband Dale, flew from Colorado for the week to paint Donna's house, do much needed repair work and clean out a shed behind the house to make ready for demolition. It was great to see Dale and Laurie again and to be able to help them out. They did a great job!

While visiting in Sturgis we also went to nephew Matt's house to see their new addition, Spencer. Mother Pam is doing just fine and the baby is healthy. It was good to see everyone.

The trip also was a good chance for Bob to ride the Harley a bit. Round trip and a few small side trips added up to nearly 600 miles. And, all during beautiful Michigan late summer weather!
