What a week it's been! We flew the Denja family down for a surprise visit for Rose's 60th birthday and to gather the Redmond sisters together for their first collective visit to South Carolina. We had lots of fun, lots of laughs, lots of noise and even more surprises.
Erin's boyfriend Mike called Maeve to say he was coming to surprise Erin but he wanted to meet me before he came to the house. With some fancy footwork we managed to get me to meet with Mike while the others were off to Kendall's daycare Halloween festival. Mike asked if I would approve his proposal to Erin. Good guy, Erin likes him so what else could I say but, "Welcome to the family!"
Pics of the fun follow.

The little ones enjoy the dollhouse that Grandma Alice gave us.

Golf was a popular card game.

We took a little hike to Peachtree Rock. Mikey and Peter are helping to keep it upright.

Kendall and Mikey dressed up for the Riverbanks Zoo Boo.

Erin Riding Hood.

The Denja clan drove the van to Charleston for a day and a visit to Folly Beach. Bob and Erin took the Harley for my first few hundred mile ride there and back.

A beautiful day at Folly Beach.

Erin and Bob even got a bloody mary to keep hydrated.

The kids tried out the playground at our sub-division pool.

Rose, Maeve and Erin chill out.

Backyard camping...at least during the day.

Maria was the one brave soul to use the chilly pool in late October.

Kendall loved the festival at her daycare.

The first attempt at bobbing for apples.

Daddy Aaron helps out at the fishin' hole.

"Is it scary in there?"

They feel gooey.

"The Ring" A nice dinner at Ruth's Chris in Columbia and the proposal in Finlay Park after dinner. A huge surprise, a happy night and date to be determined.
What a week!
