Biltmore Estate on the way North

On our way north we stopped in Asheville, NC to check out the Biltmore Estate.  I had seen it several years before with my parents but Rose has never seen it. It was a beautiful day and we only touched the surface of the grounds.

 Amazing architecture.

One small part of the over 8,000 acres of grounds.  Looking from the entrance of the estate house.

Enormous wisteria plants growing at the side of the estate house.  Planted in the late 1800's, these things are huge...and would be beautiful to see in bloom.

Clear sky view of the wisteria patio facade.

Lovely statues around the estate.
