Another day of snowshoeing on our private preserve. The golf course seems not to be patrolled now so we enjoy going out and using the space. You can see the size of the snow drift behind Rose.
On return from our trek Bob decided that he needed to smoke a cigar. Since inside was out of the question and the garage was too cold it only made sense to build a fire and enjoy the time.
Rose would not stay outside to enjoy the fire so she took a picture to show the temperature. You can see that is really is not that cold out.
Last year we bought a live tree and put it in a large pot on our front porch to serve as our tree. We planted it in the spring and it survived. So, being the conservationists that we are (and since we are not home over the Christmas week) we decided to use last year's tree that we planted. So, here 'tis. Merry Christmas!

Glad that you guys are able to go back out onto the golf course. That view of the lake from the bluff is awesome.
