Fun in the Sun--Week One

We decided to take a little time out of the Michigan winter and venture south to see our friends the Coakleys, our daughter Maeve and hubby Aaron, and check out Savannah. We played cards, relaxed, kept ourselves hydrated, played pickleball, enjoyed pinochle (the guys are ahead so far), traveled to Columbia, SC and then hit the Five Points area of Columbia for St. Patrick's celebration. Monday we're off to Savannah for more St. Patrick's Day.

This is what we left in Michigan

Arrival at Coakleys and up until 3:30am
First night of pinochle

We relaxed a bit, too!

Pat is quite the pickleball player
Katie and Rose in Katie's personal cart. No rain and warmer so the sides are off

Lunch at Thai Ruby in The Villages

Some geocache fun in The Villages. This one is called, "IBite" and you can see it was placed in an alligator toy

Rose takes her turn at pickleball

Some more pinochle and hydration

We spent the first morning in Columbia doing a St. Patrick's Day walk for charity. The 5k runners finished their race before we finished the 1 mile walk!

A neat little store in Five Points area

Do I have enough bling?

We watched the parade in Five Points

Lunch at Yesterday's in Five Points and the bagpipers entertained us

Check out Rose! Can she have any more beer?
