Photos and captions follow somewhat in trip sequence.
Captain Mike Houghton took us all out on San Diego Bay to watch the Red Bull Air Races. A great day and fun to be with Erin's great friends.
A long day done!
May 5, Cinco de Mayo, we celebrated in the Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego just a few blocks from our hotel.
Erin's new apartment photos. So much more room than her old one and very close to the Gaslamp Quarter and just a few blocks from Petco Ballpark. She will have lots of fun decorating! We look forward to getting some "after" photos.
On our anniversary day, May 6, we traveled to Temecula wine country.
On May 10 we flew to San Francisco to visit nephew Sean and wife Leslie and their new twin boys Will and Lowell. Rose made quilts for each of the boys. Sean and Leslie were wonderful hosts and their apartment is very nice with great woodwork, parquet floors and arched passageways.
Great Grandma Alice visited with Grandpa Dennis and all posed for the four generation photo.
The long ride back home
We arrived at Detroit Metro and took Leigh and the grand-daughters out to dinner for fun and a little Mother's Day celebration.
