Late August Fun

The Denjas visited for the long Labor Day Weekend. Summer is nearing the end and this will be the last time we see them for awhile. Glad that they can visit us!
The butterflies are getting fueled up for their flight back
Mikey loves the water and this little township park is a hidden jewel
Of course, we had to go swimming at "Grandma's Resort"
Mikey gets tired sometimes after a tough wade in the water
This is the neat township park where we almost have our private preserve on East Bay
Another county park, a land conservancy, just a few miles down the road was the site of sunflower fields and an attempt for Mike and Bob to find a geocache
Petey decided to chill out at home
One of the two geocaches we found in the Maple Bay township park. It has a great stand of climax maples and beech trees on the way to the beach.
Grandma found the second geocache. It was a 3-stager. One clue took us to another location where a second clue took us one more location and the final clue led us to this hollow log.
The girls show some of the treasures they found on the beach
The hummingbirds are stocking up on food for their own flight back south. Fall is on the way
