New Grand-daughter and Traveling South

We headed south for 5 weeks to visit Maeve and Aaron in Lexington, SC and the Coakleys in Florida. On the way we were able to catch niece Tara in Fort Wayne, IN and take her to dinner. We stayed at a nice B&B in Glasgow, KY and spent another night at friend Connie Girolomo's in Cookeville, TN.
Maeve was due on February 26 but we got a call just as we were checking out of the B&B that she went into labor. Kendall Olivia was born about 4pm on February 21 and came into the world at 7lbs lloz and 20.5 inches long!
We'll post again as we venture along on our trip.
Three generations doing just fine!

Daddy Aaron picks up the diaper duties in the hospital.

Kendall is snug in her Peapod or Cocoon.
Aaron and Kendall on their first day home!

Quite the prehensile big toe!

Mommy Maeve admires her beautiful little girl

Grandma Rose thinks Kendall is pretty special, too

This is Hall Place, a B&B in Glasgow, KY. Very historic and friendly proprietors Karen and Gary

Our antique bed at the B&B

We did some side road history ventures, too. This is where Daniel Boone's sister is buried.

Markers at the site of Old Mulkey Meeting House where Boone's sister and other relatives are buried.

This was officially closed until spring but we were able to walk down the road to see it.

There are actually 12 corners to this church by counting the 4 corners of each of the small extensions on the sides. It was meant to represent the 12 Apostles.

This was an interesting spot along the way
