Blooms and Cat & Mouse

Everything around Traverse City is growing about 2 weeks later than usual this year including the cherry crop. The flower beds in the back yard are starting to bloom nicely and fill in. We have several volunteer lupines growing in our walking path around the back deck and they are doing fine. The lupines that we actually planted are doing virtually nothing!

Also, Booger the cat has been busy lately keeping down the vermin but we wonder if this time she has met her match. Remember Mighty Mouse?

These volunteer lupines seem to be doing quite nicely. One even bloomed.

Some nice bloom is starting.

The purple cone flowers are about half way in bloom and the white cone flowers are not yet blossoming.

The bee balm red is a nice contrast to the other color.

This is the first full season for this clematis and it should be quite nice next year.

One of our volunteer lupines in bloom. Quite surprising for its late start.

The mouse says, "Come on, put 'em up!" Booger seems to wonder what she is supposed to do.
