Crafts, Walks and Happy Birthday to Rose

We celebrated Rose's birthday in a pretty low key manner but very pleasantly. But, she has also been busy knitting, felting and making more baskets. Following are some photos from October 31 through November 2. We're trying to keep a little more up to date with the blog!

Booger seems to like the little bed that Rose knitted and then felted. It is barely large enough for the cat but it was huge before the felting process. Either way it is amazing the way Booger just started laying in it. I guess when its made with love things just work!

Yep, Rose is also making hats. This is a before photo of a hat that is yet to be felted. Rose seems to love to have Bob cover his face.

We had a couple decent days when we got a chance to take our walk in our "private park." You can tell that its a bit chilly but the East Grand Traverse Bay is always beautiful.

On her birthday we took a nice walk again in our "private park." The pond was almost a sheet of glass and we got a couple nice photos.

Rose particularly liked the way the clouds reflected off the pond. You could actually turn the photo upside down and not be certain that it was not correct

When we left to visit Maeve in South Carolina the leaves were practically full on the trees. When we returned just 5 days later the leaves were nearly gone. But the few leaves still look pretty nice when contrasted with the pines.

Nothing fancy for Rose's birthday dinner. A pizza doctored up with all the fixin's and a few glasses of wine. It was a most pleasant day and nice to spend it together.
