We arrived at the Masons in Lexington, SC on February 19. After relaxing a bit and having fun with Kendall, Maeve, Aaron and Erin for a couple days we ramped things up a bit for the birthday celebration on February 21.
Some more posts of our earlier visit to Edisto Island will come a bit later. We head back to Michigan tomorrow but will take about 3 days to make a more casual drive back.

Grandma Rose checks out the Birthday balloon on their back deck.

Maeve puts the finishing touches of the # 1 cake.

Grandma Mason helps Kendall with, "You're number one!"

Birthday girl with her birthday cake dress and her, "What's the big deal?" look.

Mom and Dad look on as Kendall daintily checks out the birthday cake.

Kendall finally begins to get into the cake.

Instead of presents, Maeve suggested that everyone bring a wrapped book for a book exchange between the kids. It was a big hit and a great day for birthday #1.

Some of us enjoyed a good game of redneck horseshoes. Erin shows her form as she tries to put a large metal washer in the box at the other end...and maybe the big prize of in the can. If you look directly above her head you can see the circular washer in midair.
