Here you see large bald cypress trees with their "knees" (part of their root system) that rise up from the ground. The park also houses the national champion loblolly pine. A pretty impressive tree!
Nice day down here at high 60s and good amount of sun so I took a ride to the Congaree National Park. It's just 30 miles from us and I wanted to check it out. Once there had a nice talk with the Ranger and then took the raised boardwalk of a bit over a mile past some pretty impressive trees and through one of the largest high canopy forests in the US. Only about 70 miles but saw some new territory. Nice to ride on the end of January!
