We decided it was time to cross country ski instead of snowshoe travel. So Saturday morning we went "out back" ...in other words behind the house to the bay.
This shot is heading back home. Just a few seconds after this shot an eagle took off from the trees in the left of the photo below the crest of the bank. I could not get the digital camera to focus and snap fast enough to catch the eagle. Digitals are great except for times like that! Anyway, trust us, it was there. We never get tired of seeing those great birds.
A little self-portrait. We only did 1.2 miles today but had fun and the snow was pretty quick going even though we cut our own trail.
