It's Wednesday, January 28 and both of us have the day off (well, Rose worked 5:30-9:30 so mostly had the day) and the sun came out for a few hours. We decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and snowshoe out the backdoor.
Looking northwest on East Grand Traverse Bay with Lake Michigan in the middle of the horizon.
Looking due west on the bay. You can see it is almost frozen over at this point.

Imagine how we would sink without snowshoes

For a moment there the first pic looked like a white sanding beach somewhere - guess not.
