Here are photos of the few weeks following New Year. We drove down to Plymouth to visit the grandkids and see Maeve and Aaron off to South Carolina. We had hoped to spend a day with our friends the Coakleys who were in Northville visiting their son but some mixup over flight time prevented us from getting together. We'll get to see them in Feb/March when we travel south for a few weeks.
The last week we have enjoyed some of northern Michigan right out our backyard as we did a little bit of cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Photos follow.

Baby on baby. Rose holds our latest grand-child Peter and I caught a profile of Maeve with our next grand-daughter to be, Kendall. Pretty amazing!

A neat candid photo of Aaron perhaps thinking about what the future will hold.

Daddy Mike and son, Mikey, have matching shirts!

Maria and Isabel had nasty colds and were feeling under the weather during our visit.

Grandma Rose enjoying Petey

Grandpa Bob found a sure way to make Petey smile...gently blow on his face.

We've tried to enjoy the Michigan snow. On January 6 we made a little hike out back. This is the form the sun has taken during much of this winter...but the snowscape is beautiful.

"OK, take the picture already!"

Daughter Erin took some beautiful photos of the old Losinski farm where Rose grew up. She gave us the enlarged photos as gifts for Christmas. Great memories and a wonderful gift.

We all decided to make exchange gifts for the adults this year. We were lucky enough to snag another of Erin's artwork. This is a charcoal drawing of the old Losinski barn and windmill that Erin put on wood and then placed a resin mixture over. Pretty cool!

A little snowshoe pose.

January 10 trip out back. Notice there is no difference in the sky between this and January 6? That bright spot in the air is, we think, the sun.

Rose enjoying the outdoors. Our house is literally at the peak of her hat behind the trees. Although the winter has been long so far, we have been able to begin to enjoy what it has to offer. The good thing about being "Up North" is that the snow at least stays around long enough to use it for recreation.
