Southern Trip...Final Segment

We started back home to Michigan with Kendall and Maeve on March 19. We took 3 travel days in order to give new mom and baby breaks and some more time relaxing and resting in hotels. Stops in Chattanooga and Indianapolis broke up the trip. When we arrived in Michigan we really made the rounds to show off Kendall. Stops in Montgomery to visit great-grandparents Masons, then to Coldwater for Bob to show off at his old ISD office and to Great Aunt Mary's office at the Coldwater Bakery. After that we ventured to Sturgis to visit Great Aunt Robin and then on to Great Grandma Alice's home for the night's stay.
March 21 took us to Plymouth to visit Aunt LeighAnne and the Denja family and also to hook up with Daddy Aaron who was in Northville with his extended family for a Fantasy Baseball Draft at Dino's Restaurant owned jointly by Aaron's brother Adam and Uncle Phil.
Lots of love, laughter and even a few tears of joy (and sorrow when we had to leave) were everywhere.

Maeve wanted us to document each state of travel for Kendall's first road trip. We missed a couple but this shows some. Here is Michigan.
Indiana welcomed us.

Georgia was in a bit of a fog. We missed the signs for Tennessee and Kentucky.

We stopped one night in Chatanooga. It has a great downtown area and we want to go back for a longer visit. Here is the Tennessee Aquarium.

Kendall really like Grandpa Bob's pillow while staying in hotels.

Great Aunt Mary loves Kendall.

Great Grandma Char and Great Grandpa Jack see Kendall for the first time.

Great Grandma Alice thinks Kendall is pretty special, too.

Four generations of Redmonds showoff.

Mike Denja and Peter who is only 7 months old. What a difference six months of growth makes.

Moms Maeve and LeighAnne at the Denjas.

Grandpa Rick Mason sees Kendall for the very first time. Aaron and Rick are pretty proud.

"I don't want to give Kendall up!" said Carmen

Isabel sure loves Kendall, too.

Grandma Rose and Grandpa Bob with all the grandkids. Left to right are Isabel, Carmen, Peter, Maria, Michael and Kendall. We are so lucky!

Aunt LeighAnne gets a little love from Kendall

Great Grandpa Wayne Collins likes Kendall a lot. Shown are some of the extended family.

Sadly, it was time for us to return to Traverse City and leave Kendall and everyone behind.

Could you have found a more unfortunate picture of Aunt Leighanne to blog? Ew.
