Rose and Bob made a quick trip to Lexington, SC for the baptism of grandchild number 6, Kendall Olivia. It was a quick 72 hour trip that also let us visit daughter Erin who had been visiting Maeve and Aaron for about a week. We arrived Saturday evening with the baptism the following morning. We spent the day at the Mason house. Aaron's brother, Adam, was there as one of the God parents and Maeve & Aaron's friends Megan and Scott with their children Jackson and Aida joined us at the church and afterward for dinner.
Maeve, Erin, Rose, Bob and Kendall drove to Charleston after dinner on Sunday to spend the night and enjoy the city for a day before Erin flew back to San Diego from Charleston on Monday evening. The weather cooperated in Charleston despite the prediction of rain and we had a nice day Monday. After Erin's flight we all drove back to Lexington for the night and Tuesday morning we headed back to Traverse City.

Sunday morning and Grandma Rose is taking great care of Kendall.

Kendall seems to be thinking, "Are they going to put me in that water?!"

The Deacon baptises Kendall while mom and dad with God-parents Erin and Adam look on. Dumb old Grandpa Bob is in the way taking a movie of the event!

It's official...Kendall is baptised!

Proud parents, God-parents and grand-parents.

Aunt Erin fixes pigs in a blanket as appetizers before the grilled ribs fixed by Adam and the rest of the meal is served.

God father Adam and God mother Erin with Kendall. The stained glass behind them was a wedding gift made for Aaron and Maeve by sister Erin.

Grandma and Grandpa think Kendall is pretty special.

Waiting for lunch in Charleston at the restaurant named "82 Queen Street." We recommend it.

A California girl in South Carolina. It will be Erin's future home from August to December or so as she becomes a nanny for Kendall and ponders her architectural future.

While in Charleston we took a carriage tour of the city. OK, Bob, why didn't you get a picture of us on the horse drawn carriage?
