Sean Coakley Does the Bayshore Marathon...new pics added Sunday

Dinner served after the marathon. Kalee and Sean look like they're ready to eat. Sean is doing quite well for someone who ran 26 miles a bit earlier!

Kalee's friend Aric holds court around the firepit. It was a beautiful night, no bugs and the s'mores were great.

Conor is ready to sleep. They had a long day...you'd think they ran a marathon. It was great to see everyone and cheer Sean on.

Sean Coakley, son of great friends Pat and Katie, decided he wants to run a marathon. He hopes to qualify for the Boston Marathon so he started on beautiful Grand Traverse Bay with the Bayshore Marathon. His wife Michelle and two kids, Alyce and Conor, were here to cheer him on. Sister Kalee and friend Aric drove up to share the time with him. Friend Woody was running the marathon also and his wife, Chrissy did the 10K race. We'll have them all over for dinner and drinks this evening but the morning started early with a nice little run.

Here he is at the mile 7 turn. Doing great!

Alyce and Conor made some cool signs with Mommy's help.

"We're ready to cheer Daddy on!"

"I think Sean should be coming by any minute now."

Mile 19 and he's looking good (although I can't imagine anybody feeling good after 19 miles let alone 2 miles!). Another post will follow with dinner photos and results. Way to go Sean!
